Chris and Katie got married at South Farm in Royston, Hertfordshire for an intimate winter wedding.
South Farm dates back to the Tudor times of the 16th Century. It was bought as a ruin in the 1970s, but the house and barns, which are nestled within 20 acres of glorious grounds, have been lovingly restored and brought back to life.
Chris and Katie opted to have a first look (where a couple see each other before the wedding to share a few intimate moments together alone), which worked well since available light is always tricky during winter months, and this gave us some time before the ceremony for couple shots.
It was the first time I shot a wedding at South Farm and it was a fantastic experience with beautiful grounds, helpful and friendly staff and a-mazing food! If you are looking for a Herefordshire wedding venue, this one comes highly recommended.
I also love small intimate weddings as I really get to know the guests, which means they relax around me, making for some great candid images.
Katie and Chris made my life easy by being super cute and game for just about anything (despite the winter cold!).
